Does anyone cross stitch anymore?

Cross Stitching has been around for ages and while its popularity may wane from time to time, it does become a hobby that stitchers come back to and often. During the recent pandemic, many stitchers picked up this hobby again and new stitchers joined them.

The benefits are certainly there with the relatively inexpensive supplies, the experience of  creating a beautiful project, a calming effect as one stitches a design as one has to concentrate on following the pattern plus counting those stitches and it's a great brain exercise as one concentrates on the pattern's design to fabric. 

There is much to offer the stitcher in new designs, fibers and hand dyed fabrics but one consistent reason is the reproduction samplers that so many stitchers enjoy as it is a timeless creation.
