Greetings from North Georgia! I am sure you have sore eyes by now if you have been following the upcoming Nashville Whole Market that will be held the second week of March! I have created a webpage dedicated to what I will be shopping for and wanted to share with you that information plus a few key highlights of the show. I will be adding more I am sure as the designers typically save a few surprises. If you want me to add something you are interested in, please send me an email to marty@stitchandfrog.com and I will do my best to add the item. I typically do not order exclusives or limited items as anything can happen but those items can be purchased at a later date.
Here are a few designs that are capturing everyone's attention but there are plenty more but to keep newsletters at its least length, here are some to review.
Plum Street Sampler is always a hit but most all agree that The Worthy Patriot is best in show - even mutual designers. I have seen some fairly pricey kits for the design, hand dyed fabric and threads. I have on order the fabric and threads but to save money, think of using Raw Linen and all DMC threads. I asked Paulette Stewart about using Raw Linen and she responded "perfect". It is well priced too! She has about eight other designs to review but do check out her Freedom Flock (from her stack series). Both of these designs are perfect for America 250 Stitching.
Hands On Design is another prolific and creative designer and she is releasing a new "bug" - a Lightening Bug! She has chosen the perfect blue fabric (Velaris) from Stephanie's Hand Dyed Linen which I have as well so do check out Night Light. And then for Easter, you have to stitch up Hey Peter - he is adorable!
Stacy Nash launched several of her Animal Crackers and they are wonderful but this little Hedgehog (Pip) will a welcome visitor in your home. Heart In Hand is offering a great new Tiny Town titled Needleworker's Tiny Town and check out that stack of tomatoes - this promises to be a fun stitch!
Summer House Stitche Workes is launching a new Fragment Series titled Patriotic Quaker will patriotic in celebration of America 250 as well as a new three part Coverlet Series. The first one is Life (and the following two will Liberty and Pursuit of Happiness).
Needle WorkPress is bringing quite a few reproduction samplers and added another today! One example is Argyle Deer which is quite popular. It wouldn't be Market with a new Prairie Schooler Santa and he is a great addition to the series.
You have many choices to shop this event but Stitch and Frog still have free shipping for any single order over $50.00 which isn't hard to reach with all the new designs. Even though postage has increased 20% over the past year, I am still offering this benefit. And Stitch and Frog has competitive pricing so do consider these two value adds as you shop for your new stash.
Thanks again for being a customer of Stitch and Frog, Marty
