Heart In Hand Needleart and Blackbird Designs

Greetings from another rainy day in Georgia with more to come! The flowers are loving it though and we never know when we will be facing long dry spells in the summer so we take it. This newsletter focuses on new releases from Heart In Hand Needlework and a nice surprise of Blackbird Designs being reprinted as well as a few more 'must mentions'.

Heart In Hand Needleart

If you are a fan of the 'Tiny Town' designs from Heart in Hand, then you will be pleased that a second frill pattern has been added to the very popular Nativity Tiny Town. When released, there was a frill available that focused on the three kings that visited the manger and now we have the three Shepherds that stitchers have requested. Click on link to add Shepherd Frill to your shopping cart. The second release is titled Red White and Blue and is part of the designer's Doodles series that are always a fun stitch. The final new release is Sunny Day featuring Sunflowers that are an all time favorite and includes an embellishment pack.

Blackbird Designs

When one of the designing duo passed away, I think we all wondered what was to become of Blackbird Designs and we all were so happy that the remaining designer not only released new designs from time to time but also reprinted many from their catalog of designs. Quite a few reprints recently became available and I won't list them all in this newsletter but do click on Blackbird Designs to see if a design is now available that you have been wanting to add to your collection. Of special note, The Gardener, is now available from the Garden Club Series so many have wanted as well as A Heart Remembers that is one of my favorite. A Heart Remembers includes new designs (including the last one Barb designed) but the Mystery Sampler so many had wanted so it is a must have if you do not have this one. And those new to stitching Blackbird Designs and have been wanting to have all of the designs from the Anniversaries Of The Heart Series, more have been reprinted.

Cottage Garden Samplings

We are waiting for the first chart "The Wolf" to arrive that is the first release in the new series titled A Year In The Woods II that is a 12 part series. It should arrive this week but I am sure delays in customs are to be expected these days. I already have the Picture This Plus Legacy Linen (36 Ct and 40 Ct) available to those who purchase this first chart from Stitch and Frog.

If you enjoy the Stitch A Longs from Modern Folk Embroidery, take a peek at Baldaquin Birdies for 2025. I saw this finished by a stitcher who chose to use a gorgeous varigated blue instead of the red as shown and I had to add it to the website.

And if you must rip out those stitches, why not use this gorgeous silver toned metal seam ripper to do the chore? Buy one for you and one for a stitching friend!
