Cottage Garden Samplings New Series - Year In The Woods II
Greetings from North Georgia! This newsletter is different in that I am writing about an exciting upcoming series from Cottage Garden Samplings titled 'A Year In The Woods II'. It is a 12 part series that will begin June 1st and will have monthly releases thereafter and ends May 2026. I have included one photo that provides hints of what the next animal will be (either in the trees, ground or stump) so you can guess what creature will show up in the forest next. The series is stitched on Picture This Plus Legacy Linen (40 Ct) but I am also offering a 36 Ct option. You will need one half yard if stitched as one project but do check the listings as I have on both. The 36 Ct will work but I note what to consider prior to purchasing the one-half yard cut. Both 36 Ct and 40 Ct should be 27" x 36".
The first release is 'The Wolf' and he is fearsome and beautiful at the same time. He is stitched with DMC threads with one hand dyed color from Classic Colorworks (Trail Dust). These are the two links for the first pattern with 40 Ct linen and the first pattern with 36 Ct linen. The designer recommends five stitches between each design with four rows with three designs each as per layout photo.
Since the price for the pattern/fabric combo is over $50.00, you will not be charged for shipping. All other shipping is a flat rate of $4.95 so the more items you add to an order, the better as the shipping charge remains $4.95 unless you reach the minimum order of $50.00, then shipping is free.
Many ask if I do automatics but the answer is I do not and particularly for a 12 part series as many change their minds, drop out, forget to pay and it is another process that I have to manage. What I do and it works well is that once I get the subsequent charts in stock, I will send you an email that it is ready to order.
I am now accepting pre-orders as the fabric is in stock and just waiting to get the first pattern the first week fo June.
Happy Stitching, Marty
