Maria Selby Humphrey 1831 Cross Stitch

"Maria Selby Humphrey 1831" is the title of this cross stitch pattern from Blackbird Designs who purchased the original sampler last year.  Maria left alot of information about herself in this sampler by adding her age, her home townand her father's name.  The led to research that confirmed Maria Selby Humphrey was born in Saint Johnsbury, Vermont on June 23, 1819 and she was the first of seven children.  She had five brothers and one sister.  The sampler is stitched with Gentle Arts Sampler threads (Apple Cider, Cidermill Brown, Flax, Grasshopper, Heirloom Gold, Mountain Mist, Parchment, Picnic Basket, Piney Woods, Tin Bucket, Toffee, Uniform Blue and Espresso Bean).
