Book of Days 2022 and More New Designs!

Fall has arrived in North Georgia with the leaves slowly starting to turn red and with alot of rain this week, we expect to see beautiful fall foliage. And it is also a time stitchers begin to plan their holiday stitching and winter projects so I wanted to write this newsletter to point out a few new things such as Book Of Days as well as an update on fabric.

Book of Days is an annual planner/calendar that is published by Needle WorkPress and is always popular. While there are no cross stitch patterns, she always provides a chart of some kind and this year it is a vintage alphabet that will be so useful in your own designs as even as small pinkeeps for Christmas giving. In fact, this planner will make an excellent gift for a friend and at a reasonable price. Only so many are printed and then they are gone so I hope you will order one or two of Book Of Days 2022!

Hand dyed fabric continues to be a challenge for shops to stock but I try to get the more neutral colors in stock. I list the cut(s) as one quarter yard for the most part. It is easier to maintain an accurate stock count and this size will handle most projects. If you need a larger cut, please write to me first ( and if I have stock, I will send you a link to order one-half yard cuts. So, do browse around by clicking on 'fabric' as I add weekly as stock becomes available. Due to supply contraints, prices have crept up on fabric but I am trying to hold down what I charge versus what I have to pay. If you wish to view fabric by designer, we do have a Fabric Tab on the main landing page that has a drop down box with an listing in alphabetical order.

Notable New Designs

I have enjoyed Cross Stitch Antiques series this year featuring antique reproduction samplers and the one this month does not disappoint. The Three Vs by MC 1832 is an odd name but this sampler done by a stitcher has three Vs across the left top but then her sampler with gorgeous floral motifs. The stitcher's name is unknown but we have to believe those Vs are clues to her name or family. Certainly autumn has arrived in Rosewood Manor's new design titled Paisley Pumpkin. And Cottage Garden Samplings latest release in her monthly series is a great design and may just be my favorite titled Oct 31. Click on this link New Cross Stitch to view all the latest designs.

GiGi R Designs

I maintain a large catalog of this wonderful designer's reproductions and I have quite a few on sale so worth checking her designs out and add to your stash and winter stitching. Gigi R has written more than once that MT 1810 is her favorite sampler to date and it tops my list too! It features gorgeous birds which will be a joy to stitch. Click on GiGi R Designs in the paragraph title to view all of her catalog.

Bargain Bin

We have sales everyday from 10%-40% off in the Bargain Bin so check it often when you are visiting the website. Click on the highlighted link and once you get to the page, to the left of the page will be the 10%-40% categories. The deeper the discount, the more limited quantity but I do try to keep this space up to date. If you are a fan of Hands On Designs, I just did some markdowns due to overstock - always popular and a fun stitch with this designer.

I appreciate your continued support of Stitch and Frog as you have many options to purchase stash these days so every order counts with us! Thank you, Marty
